What can you do with Niko Home Control?

By using Niko Home Control with Amazon Alexa you can voice control the most important actions in your Niko Home Control installation (e.g.dimming the lights, switching the lights on and off, controlling the thermostat, and turning on moods) with your Alexa speaker.

To be able to use Alexa for Niko Home Control, you first have to activate the Niko Home Control skill.

  • No additional electrical wiring is required.

  • You have a computer or a smartphone with a web browser and an internet connection.

  • Your smart speaker is Alexa compatible.

  • You registered your smart speaker.

  • You created an Amazon UK account and you have your username and password on hand.

Your Niko Home Control installation meets the following requirements:

  • It has a wireless smart hub or a connected controller II.

  • It is configured with the most recent programming software (version 2.0 or higher).

  • It has an active internet connection.

  • It is registered and you have your e-mail address and password on hand.

  • You installed the Amazon Alexa app on your smartphone and followed the activation wizard.


  1. To activate the Niko Home Control skill proceed as follows:

    1. Open the Amazon Alexa app on your smartphone.

    2. Log in with your Amazon username and password.

    3. In the right bottom corner, click the menu More.

    4. Click Skills & Games.

    5. In the search bar enter Niko Home Control.

    6. Select the Niko Home Control skill.

    7. Click Enable to use.

  2. To activate the link between Niko Home Control and Alexa proceed as follows:

    1. Log in with your e-mail address and Niko Home Control password.

    2. Accept the Terms and follow the further instructions on your screen.

  1. To active the Niko Home Control skill proceed as follows:

    1. Go to https://www.amazon.co.uk. Make sure you go to the English website, not the US website.

    2. Log in with your Amazon username and password.

    3. In the search bar enter Niko Home Control.

    4. Select the Niko Home Control skill.

    5. Click Enable.
