Remote access

The MOTIV Building Control programming software allows you to connect remotely to a controller. Depending on your user rights within the installation, the procedure for setting up the remote connection is different.

	Remote connection	Connect remotely to a controller
Controller status	Online and the owner can grant access via the Niko Home app	Online
User rights	You are no longer are owner of the installation. The ownership has been transferred upon completion of the installation to your client.	You are Admin of the installation
Steps	Click Remote connection. Click New connection. Fill out the Identifier and Password that you receive from the current owner. Click Open connection.	Click My installations. Click the desired installation. Select the controller that you want to connect to. Click Connect remotely.
